High Plains Paint Horse Club hosts American Paint Horse breed shows in Colorado.  Founded in 1966, HPPHC is affiliated with the American Paint Horse Association regionally, serving competitors from as far away as Utah, California, Texas and the mid-West.

2018 show dates:
NEW! HPPHC is now sponsoring the Zone 3/YDF Show, April 6 – 8, at the National Western Events Center. Points will go toward year end awards. Show bill can found at Excel Shows website.

May 3 – 6:
Two shows, back to back, each with two judges at The Ranch in Loveland. Working cow horse classes now included. AQHA special event for roping and over fences. Show bill to be posted soon.

August 24 -26:
Four judge at The Ranch in Loveland. Show bill to be posted.

  1. The rider must be a member.
  2. The horse must be declared in contention for awards by payment of a $10 participation fee; and
  3. The exhibitor/horse combination needs to show in a minimum of 75% of the shows.  (Per the show rules, a show is defined as “a complete set of classes judged by a single judge ie: 2 judges judging simultaneously is considered 2 shows.”)Note this is a change to previous membership qualification rules.  HPPHC has eliminated the family and associated memberships in favor of individual memberships based on age.  The owner of the horse no longer needs to be a member, provided that the rider is a member and the $10 horse declaration fee is paid.

HPPHC prides itself on being a friendly and family-oriented club with competition oriented to our youngest horse enthusiasts and novice horses and riders, to those who desire to compete at the World Championships.  Join the club or just check out the competition – you will meet a whole lot of folks who love their Paint Horses!
