Mission
Founded in 1966, HPPHC is recognized by the American Paint Horse Association and is located in APHA’s Zone 3 region. High Plains Paint Horse Club is operated as a Colorado non-profit corporation:
- To promote and encourage good horsemanship and good sportsmanship
- To promote and stimulate interest in the Paint Horse on a regional basis by educating the public about the qualities of the breed
- To promote the showing of registered Paint Horses
- To cooperate fully with other regional Paint Horse Clubs and with the APHA to further the cause of the Paint Horse Breed
By Laws and Show Rules
HPPHC is an organization dedicated to promoting, breeding and showing the American Paint Horse. High Plains Paint Horse Club is a registered organization whose breed shows are sanctioned by the American Paint Horse Association (APHA). HPPHC members compete to earn club points for club show and year-end awards, and APHA points to win APHA Zone 3 awards and APHA national awards. Zone 3 includes Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming, though we regularly also see exhibitors from California, Texas and Utah.
