Scholarships

  • Scholarship shall be for $1000 to cover college tuition.
  • Scholarships recipients may reapply each year they are in school and up to four times (including initial award).
  • Available to active members of the High Plains Paint Horse Club. To be considered “Active” a candidate must have shown in a minimum of 2 shows in the past year or have volunteered 20 hours or more for the club in the past year.
  • Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 (on the 4 point scale) to be considered.
  • Applicants must submit an essay of 2500 words of less explaining why they should be awarded the scholarship.
  • The program will offer 3 new scholarships per year, in addition to scholarships for re-applicants. [Thus a maximum of 12 current scholarships would be possible at any one time]
  • The scholarship is available regardless of major to students attending a secondary institution that accepts federal student aid.
