Scholarships

Scholarship shall be for $1000 to cover college tuition.
Scholarships recipients may reapply each year they are in school and up to four times (including initial award).
Available to active members of the High Plains Paint Horse Club. To be considered “Active” a candidate must have shown in a minimum of 2 shows in the past year or have volunteered 20 hours or more for the club in the past year.
Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 (on the 4 point scale) to be considered.
Applicants must submit an essay of 2500 words of less explaining why they should be awarded the scholarship.
The program will offer 3 new scholarships per year, in addition to scholarships for re-applicants. [Thus a maximum of 12 current scholarships would be possible at any one time]
The scholarship is available regardless of major to students attending a secondary institution that accepts federal student aid.
